It is our
constitutional duty as American citizens to hold our elected officials accountable for
their words, actions, and inactions. We must chose where to draw the line and what to do
if that line is crossed. We must decide when enough is enough and then use our
constitutional rights to force change. George W. Bush, the people working in his
administration, most of the Republicans in Congress, and many of the Democrats in Congress
have crossed that line in the sand many times during the past several years and now it is
time for us to act, or in this case
FIGHT!
We must
fight because the Republicans stole the last two presidential elections and now they
refuse to fix this bogus election system that uses paperless voting computers to steal
elections. Also, they refuse to hold any of their own people accountable for anything,
ever. And their words are deliberately designed to mislead 99% of the American people
about what their legislation does and who it benefits.
We must
fight because the Democrats are a powerless minority that couldn't fix the election system
even if they wanted to, and they can't hold their legislative ground against the
Republicans. They also have a major problem with campaign finance corrupt that exposes
itself through their voting record. And they are probably frightened to death of the
ruthless, unaccountable, and well financed Republican political machine.
The truth
is the Republican Party is only a part of a much larger criminal organization. George W.
Bush, the people in his administration, and the Republicans in Congress are working for
and representing this criminal organization while claiming they are working for and
representing us. The Republican Party's proclaimed conservative ideology and Christian
beliefs are nothing more than clever cons and a immoral ruses, and we are the marks and
our government's assets are the prize. These corrupt leaders are deliberately pushing
our federal government into bankruptcy so that these few ultra rich organized crime
families can acquire our government's $100 trillion dollars in assets for pennies on the
dollar. This fascist scheme is not only a crime but it is treason.
These few
organized crime families should be listed at the top of the Forbes list of "The
Richest" but are not even on the list. They don't want the public to know anything
about them or their wealth, they don't want to pay any taxes, they don't want to be
regulated, they don't want to be held accountable, and they don't want to share their
power or wealth. A famous economist once said: "People of privilege will always
risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their
advantage.", and that description fits the character of the Republican Party and
the organized criminals they represent.
These few
organized crime families want to own our government's $100 trillion dollars in assets and
they don't want to pay fair market prices for these assets. Thus, they have engineered a
long-term plan to game America's democracy, government, political parties, and capitalist
economy to enrich themselves while avoiding exposure and accountability. George W. Bush,
the people in his administration, the Republicans in Congress, and many of the Democrats
in Congress are just their latest group of sycophant whores and political puppets.
A
corrupt political campaign finance system has turned our elected leaders and their
appointees into puppets and whores for a small number of extremely wealthy crime families.
Most of these crime families are made up of individuals who inherited their vast fortunes
and who are dependent on their lawyers, bankers, and security personnel to build and
protect their wealth. These few criminal organizations have taken advantage of a corrupt
campaign finance system to control both political parties so that they can profit from the
actions of the largest asset holder and cash flow generator in the United States, the U.S.
government.
Sadly,
the Republican Party has clearly compromised their integrity and conservative ideology by
selling out to these few wealthy criminal organizations. Their corrupt and immoral actions
and false words during the past several years have brought that sad reality into focus for
many more conservative voters. That is why George W. Bush's job approval rating is
hovering around 30%, and Cheney's is around 20%.
We must
fight these few wealthy crime family organizations and the corrupt Republican Party
because they are destroying our democracy, robbing our government, rolling back our legal
system, undermining our rights and freedoms, and manipulating us. An American naturalist
once wrote: "A patriot must be willing to defend his country against its
government.". That quote was never more applicable than it is today. Our country
is currently under attack by our own elected Republican government officials and a handful
of wealthy families, that appear to be based out of Texas, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and
California. They are the new fascist eugenic Nazi criminals, and so far they are winning.
Therefore,
It is time for the American people to stand up and perform their constitutional patriotic
duties to defend this great country by fighting the Republican Party and the criminal
organizations they represent. Otherwise, we will need to teach our children and
grandchildren how to live on their knees in silence, and how to be good whores for the
inheritance rich fascist leaders of America's new Mafiaocracy government.
Crossing
The Accountability Line
The
current Republican leaders crossed the accountability line when they looted every penny
from the Social Security trust fund; when they sent our soldiers into a totally
unnecessary war in Iraq based on a lie; when they created the three largest deficits in
our nation's history; when they allowed energy companies to rob the state of California;
when they turned their backs on Enron's shareholders and employees; when they illegally
spied on American citizens; when they illegally detained and tortured people; when they
rolled back cronyism rules; when they awarded big no-bid contracts to Halliburton; when
they awarded a big government contract for Homeland Security computer services to the
Bermuda based Accenture corporation; when they passed an unfair tax cut bill, bankruptcy
bill, Medicare bill, and environmental bill; and the list could go on and on as well as
backwards to previous Republican administrations.
Since the
Republicans refuses to hold themselves accountable for these corrupt actions, and since we
cannot hold them accountable in the voting booth, we must find others ways to hold them
accountable, or we lose. John F. Kennedy summed up our current situation correctly when he
said the following: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent
revolution inevitable.". He's right, we must fight because we have no other
choice, and if we don't win this fight we will lose everything. The sooner we get this
fight started the better chance we will have of taking back our government.
Our
fighting tools include boycotts (See Appendix
B: "Boycott List"), protests, strikes, badgering, letter writing, lawsuits,
lobbying, civil disobedience, and asymmetrical warfare. We should use these tools
continually and at an increasing rate of aggression until we win, or until we are forced
to surrender. Each of these tools will be explained in much greater detail later in this
book. (See Chapter 3: "How To Fight
Back".)
Fighting For
Accountability
The Republicans stole the presidential
election in 2000 with the help of five Supreme Court judges
who stopped a recount of the votes in Florida. This is the
most activist decision in the history of the court and is a
blight on the court's creditability that deserves all of our
attention and rebuke.Since that
time a number of researchers have studied this election and
determined that Al Gore would have won Florida, and thus won
the election, if the recount had been allowed to go forward.
And since Al won the popular vote by over half a million
votes the court's failure to recount the votes is the most
obvious indication that this election was in fact stolen.
And It was stolen with the help of these five politically
appointed judges, all of whom I consider co-conspirators to
the Bush administration's acts of treason.
One of the reasons the recount was
stopped was because a handful of foul mouth Republican
insiders stormed the Miami-Dade Country Canvassing Board and
beat on walls and doors while yelling obscenities at the
people who were busy recounting the ballots by hand. The
people counting the ballots fled the building fearing for
their own safety. This delay in the recount is one of the
reasons the justices gave for stopping the recount.
Following is a picture taken by Colin Braley of Reuters that
shows these rioters along with labels identifying who they
are:

During
the five years since this picture was taken many of these rioters have been given
important jobs in the Bush administration and with lobbying firms, according to Al Kamen
of the Washington Post.
The
Republicans stole the election in 2004 with the help of paperless voting computers that
cannot be recounted and are built by large corporations that have histories of supporting
Republican candidates. The President of Diebold, Wally O'Dell, even promised to help
Republicans win in Ohio, which just happens to be the state that swung the election in
2004 for Bush. Diebold is the largest manufacturer of paperless voting computers and the
largest manufacturer of paper receipt generating ATM machines, therefore, their ability to
add a paper receipt to their voting computers shouldn't be a technical challenge.
During
the 2004 election there were large discrepancies between the exit poll numbers and the
official vote count totals in a number of key states indicating that this election was
stolen with the help of these new paperless voting computers.
But the
GOP leaders claim that paper receipts are not necessary because the technology is fool
proof. But the truth is the GOP leaders think we are the fools and their going to prove it
to us by stealing more elections from right under our noses.
Fighting
Against Political Corruption
Largely
as a result of these two stolen elections the Republican Party has had illegitimate
control of all three branches of our government since 2001. All the things we have been
witnessing during that time period, including corruption, cronyism, deficits, war
profiteering, corporate scandals, gas price gouging, extreme partisan legislation, torture
in Iraq, and the list could go on and on, proves that the Republicans do not deserve their
positions of absolute power, and in fact they deserve to be put on trial for war crimes in
Iraq and acts of treason against the U.S. government. These events, plus other recent
events, are examined in much more detail later in this book. (See
Chapter 1: "How We Got Here".)
The
bottom line is that these Republican leaders have crossed the accountability line too many
times and now it's time for the American people to do their duties by holding them
accountable. Since we can no longer hold them accountable in the voting booth we must do
so through other means. I have some ideas on how we can do it and I will share them with
you throughout this book, but the choice on how and when you do your constitutional duty
is entirely up to you.
Making
The Choice To Fight
Life is a
series of choices and the more information we have the more likely we are to make the
right choices. We have no choice over the situation we are born into but once we are here
it is largely the choices we make that determine the direction our lives will take. A wise
and well educated mentor is a great source of help in making good choices. Good mentors
can be parents, teachers, friends, family members, co-workers, and even books.
This book
is written to be a mentor on an important political choice, and it is a source of factual
information and motivation. This book seeks to confront the American people with the most
important choice they will probably ever make in their lifetime. Their decision on this
critical choice will effect this generation and countless future generations. The options
to making this choice include the following:
Do you join the fight to take back
the American government from the grossly corrupt and immoral people who are in control?
Do you join with the people in power
to help them maintain their positions of power and thus help them achieve their extremist
fascist agenda?
Do you just sit back while others
fight on your behalf?
Our
country's founding fathers chose to fight England, the country of their birth, because
they did not what their children to be bound by the monarchial chains that had bound them.
They had a new vision of a government of, by, and for the people, and free of religious
bigotry. They wanted opportunities for all the people and not just for a select few who
were born into wealth and power, like the monarchs.
Not all
the colonist agreed with this vision and many joined forces with the British troops to
defeat the revolutionaries. However, thanks to military leaders like George Washington,
Nathan Hale, and Ethan Allen and writers like Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas
Jefferson most of the colonist united and fought the war that won our independence and
gave birth to our democratic republic.
Wars are
never easy, swift, or fair. They are bloody, dirty, ugly, and drag on for months and
years. This new war against the GOP and their supporters will be no different. This war
will take sacrifice, but that is a choice we must make and a price we must pay if we
expect to continue living as free people in a country where the legal system treats
everyone as equals. We must make this choice soon or our ability to effect change will be
taken away by the people we should be fighting.
The cost
of choosing not to fight this new war against the Republican Party and its supporters will
be everything our founding fathers and forefathers fought and died for, including our
democracy, rights, and freedoms. We should honor their sacrifice by using these inherited
rights to fight the people who are working to undermine those same rights. These cost are
examined in much greater detail later in this book. (See
Chapter 2: "Predicting The Future".)
Fight
For The Right Reasons
It is not
just our rights that are being diminished but our democracy is being undermined, our
government is being looted, our legal system is failing to protect us, our politicians
have mislead us and betrayed their oath of office, and our soldiers are being used as
pawns and squandered in an unnecessary and un-winnable war in Iraq. And it is not just the
Republican Party that is guilty but the Democratic Party is also largely to blame and
should also be held accountable.
The
wealth of our country is being concentrated into the hands of a few inheritance rich
spoiled brats who have no loyalty to America and no respect for our democratic system of
government. Our forefathers passed highly progressive tax laws in 1915 to protect us and
our system of government from this wealth concentration danger but recent Republican
administrations have undone those laws.
" I see in the near
future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my
country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places
will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by
working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands
and the Republic is destroyed." - Abraham Lincoln - 1864
Abraham
Lincoln's words ring true today and point to the need for new progressive tax legislation
to protect our "Republic" from this political corruption and wealth
concentration danger. If we fail to stop this wealth concentration we will need to adjust
our life styles to survive under a new form of government. (See
Appendix A: "Survival" )
However,
our ability to lobby our elected leaders for these changes has been undermined by the Bush
administration with paperless voting computers, and by a right-wing mainstream media with
news reports, news analysis, and commercials that are manipulative and dishonest. These
actions have made public opinion irrelevant, voters powerless, and the media useless. As a
result, we now have a one party government that is in bed with the big media companies and
is a whore to the highest bidder.
The war
in Iraq is a perfect example of this one party government and irrelevant public. Both
parties voted for it and both have profited from it. Even though public opinion has turned
against the war the war machine continues spilling blood and spending a huge fortune in
wealth.
It is not
just the problematic war in Iraq but almost everything else has gone wrong and yet George
W. Bush and the Republicans in Congress are loving every minute of it. They continue to
tout their successes in Iraq, with our economy, and with their legislation using clever
demagoguery that the mainstream media has consistently failed to expose as propaganda.
America
is being given back to the monarchs by our current political leadership and we must fight
back to keep that from happening. Our democracy is being transformed into a war loving
fascist plutocracy and the Bush administration, the Republicans in Congress, and some of
the Democrats in Congress are making it happen. Our economic opportunities are being
concentrated into the hands of people who don't care about us, or our government, and who
have no loyalty to America.
All these
things are happening right now and yet the media doesn't report them and the Democratic
Party is a powerless minority that appears unwilling to act in response to these
treasonous crimes.
The
Republicans in Congress deny they are doing these types of wealth concentration and
government undermining activities but when you look at the results their legislation
consistently produces there is no doubt they are serving the interest of a few people who
are already at the top of the economic ladder, and they are not alone. Many of the
Democrats vote with the Republicans on their wealth concentrating legislation and
government looting scams. It appears the Democratic Party is only representing a different
group of less wealthy and less corrupt individuals than the Republican Party represents,
but that fact doesn't make things any better for 99% of the American people.
One
Party Government
What we
have in America is a two party system of government where both parties are representing
different factions of the top 1% of individuals. No one in Washington D.C. represents the
poor, the middle class, or even the upper middle class. We have what Ralph Nader said we
have: "A one corporate party government".
The
evidence of this collusion and conspiracy between the two parties is everywhere. They
consistently vote to increase their own pay on a bipartisan basis, and they now earn over
$160,000 per year, plus benefit, which places them in the top 5% of income earners. Both
parties voted to give Bush permission to invade Iraq. Both parties voted for free trade
deals that have sent our trade deficit skyrocketing. Both parties have worked together to
keep third party candidates, like Ross Perot and Ralph Nader, off the ballot and out of
the debates. Both parties have keep genetically modified foods from being labeled. And the
list could go on and on.
We need
new leadership in Washington and new rules on how we elect and compensate our leaders. We
need to get rid of the new paperless voting computers and return to a voting system that
can be audited and has a paper record that can be recounted. We need to get rid of the
current fundraising system, which is basically a quid pro quo system of bribery, and start
public financing of all political campaigns. And we need a few other changes that will be
talked about later in this book. (See Chapter
4: "Taking Back Our Democracy".)
Big
Government Is Not The Problem
This book
is not calling for the destruction of our government. We love our government because our
government works for us; at least in theory based on constitutional law. This book is
calling for a few minor changes that will strengthen our democracy and will increase
opportunity for people to move up the economic ladder, just like the sixteenth amendment
to the Constitution did in 1913.
The
sixteenth amendment to the Constitution stopped the Robber Barons dead in their tracks. It
allowed the federal government to put in place a highly progressive income tax system and
an estate tax. These progressive tax laws prevented a handful of successful capitalist
from buying up every inch of land in America for pennies on the dollar. Had our
forefathers not done this the middle class would have never developed and our society
would look a lot like Mexico's society does today, with a few people at the top, a small
middle class, and everyone else at the bottom, and with virtually no opportunity to move
up the economic ladder.
Republican
presidents, mostly Reagan and now George W. Bush, have turned our progressive tax system
upside down. Now, the people paying the highest percentage of their incomes in taxes are
self-employed individuals making $90,000 a year. Not only is this unfair but it is
squeezing small business people out of business and it is allowing wealth and opportunity
to become concentrated into the hands of a few families worth billions in wealth, or the
top .0001% of individuals.
Not only
have these few recent Republican administrations perverted our tax code but they have put
our federal government deep into debt. Since the Constitution places the American people
over the federal government all this new debt belongs to all of us, and we must pay
interest on all this new debt.
President
Bush's policies have swung the federal budget projections $10 trillion dollars in the
wrong direction, and despite that result he continues to call for more huge tax cuts for
the very rich, more huge spending increases, and big cuts in small programs that were
designed to help everyone else. The Republicans even call their latest deficit creating
legislation "The Deficit Reduction Act" even though it increases the
deficits by over $50 billion dollars. How Orwelling is that doublespeak?
The
Republican Party promotes the idea of a smaller federal government, but for the past 100
years we have had leaders who have believed in, and delivered, a big federal government.
The Republican Party's smaller federal government ideology would result in a major change
in America for most of the American people. If more people understood how these changes
would effect their lives they would fight against the Republican Party. If the Republicans
succeed in making our federal government smaller it will only end up being smaller in
terms of providing help for the American people. Their idea of smaller government is
unbridled capitalism, more corporate welfare, zero social programs, and zero safety net
protections for America's workers.
Robbing
The American People
The
Republican's small government ideology is just an excuse to rob the American people and
the U.S. government and concentrate that wealth in the hands of their wealthy friends. The
Bush administration, the GOP, and some of the Democrats are deliberately bankrupting our
federal government so their mega rich friends can buy our government's $100 trillion
dollars in assets, our assets, for pennies on the dollar.
They are
pulling a classic bait and switch con job on the American people, and based on recent
polls too many people are falling for it. Somehow they have suckered the Christian Right
hook, line, and sinker even though their legislation expose values that are the opposite
of Christian values and are far from conservative values. I suspect that the big media
corporations, and a bunch of corrupt two-faced politicians, are largely to blame for this
religious based conservative brainwashing.
The bottom line is that these right-wing
organized criminals don't care about our government, democracy,
legal system, soldiers, or us. In fact, they are working to
undermine and manipulate all these things to satisfy their own
greed for more power and wealth. If they succeed with their
sinister plan to rob our government our value as American
citizens will decline, and eventually our value will suddenly
drop like a rock from the top of the Empire State Building. If
we allow this to happen we will be worth next to nothing and we
will be powerless to do anything about it. That is why we must
fight back and we must start today.
Fighting
Back Really Works
In April
of 2006 the television news reports were full of images of young French people protesting
the diminution of worker's rights. These protester's acts of civil disobedience were
fearless and relentless. After several weeks of this rioting the French government gave in
to the demands of these protesters and withdrew their anti-worker legislation.
This is a
great example of people standing up for themselves to force change in a democracy. This is
a model for demanding accountability that the American people should embrace and copy
while we are still in a position to do so.
But the vast majority of the American people
are like a deer frozen in the headlights of an oncoming
automobile. They sense danger and they know they are being
conned and manipulated by both political parties, but they are
confused, afraid, and placated into inaction by personal
possessions, television, jobs, technology, and low cost goods.
Therefore, they do nothing in response to this political
corruption and government looting. But the danger is real and it
is moving closer and closer every second. If the American people
don't wake-up and start fighting back their fate will be the
same as the fate of a deer stuck in the headlights of an
oncoming automobile. Consider this book your wake-up call.
Start
Fighting Back Today
Fighting
back can work and regardless of who is buying the Republican Party's snake oil the facts
are facts and the time has come to draw the battle lines and begin the fight. It is time
to take our government back from these liars and thieves before it's too late, and that is
what this book is all about.
This book
will show you how we got where we are today, what will happen if we do nothing, how to
fight back, and what changes need to be made to our laws once we have succeeded in taking
back our government. In summary, this book ask you to make the choice to FIGHT!,
and then it shows you how to act to get results.
