George W. Bush Is A
Damn Two-Faced Liar
(6/7/2005)
We have all been hearing about the large numbers of American based companies that are
moving their factories out of America, but George W. Bush has opened a new factory in the
heart of Washington D.C., and it's called "Bush's Lie Factory", and it's turning
out product (lies) at an astonishing rate.
So much has been written and said about the
fact that George W. Bush lies all the time I felt compelled to add to this chorus by
writing an article about some of his more significant lies and the cost of these lies to
the American people.
I know that all the members of the Congress
know that Bush is a shameless liar, but the members brave enough to speak out will only
say that "Bush has a big creditability gap", but we all know
what that really means; Bush lies a lot!
Lets face the truth, everyone tells lies.
Most of our lies are considered small, inconsequential lies about someone's cooking,
housekeeping, appearance, etc. These lies are just people trying to be polite, nice, or
friendly. However, Bush's lies are damn lies because they cost people their life savings,
freedoms, security, and even their lives.
Bush wears his Christian faith on his
sleeve, but his words and actions expose him as someone who has values that can best be
described as the opposite of Christian values. That makes Bush a hypocrite, and the high
cost of Bush's hypocrisy on the lives of others makes him a damn hypocrite, an evil man,
and a liar.
But, don't just take my words
as reality, look at the facts for yourself. Following is a list of what I consider some of
Bush's most significant lies, followed by the cost of these lies to our country, and
finally the truth about the things he has been lying about:
Lie #1: "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction"
Cost: $350+ billion dollars, 1,650+ American boys killed,
100,000+ Iraqis killed, more thousands injured on both sides, alienation of our
international allies, and it's not over yet.
Truth: Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 despite what Bush
continues to tell us. Saddam and Iraq were in, and had been in, a figurative box for
almost ten years with sanctions and UN inspections. Just before the U.S. led invasion Iraq
had agreed to allow even greater levels of inspections by the UN. Our country killed a lot
of people, wasted a huge pile of money, we destroyed a culture and thousands of priceless
artifacts that dated back to the beginning of human civilization. There was no compelling
reason to go to war in Iraq, so why did Bush do this? Bush went into Iraq for the
following reasons: 1. To satisfy the neo-cons in his administration. 2. To pump hundreds
of billions of dollars into the American military-industrial complex. 3. To have an excuse
to run huge budget deficits. 4. To trick the American people into believing that Iraq was
a terrorist country that was a danger to the American people and he was standing up for
the American people. 5. He is an evil blood lusting fascist pig that enjoys killing
people.
Lie #2: "Any deficits my administration creates
will be small and short-term"
Cost: Bush turned a projected $5 trillion dollar surplus
into a projected $6 trillion dollar deficit. He did this in three short
years with huge tax cuts for the very rich and huge increases in military spending. The
actual deficit last year (2004) was $567 billion, a new record. His daddy must be so proud
for topping his old record of $290 billion in 1991. This year the budget deficit is on
track to top the $600 billion dollar mark. (@ Hi, remember
me, I'm the Republican's Social Security lockbox. *wink* *wink*). The final cost of
Bush's eight years in office could be the bankruptcy of our federal government, which I
suspect is exactly what he wants to happen.
Truth: Bush's huge tax cuts and huge spending increases
have reversed the economic prospects for this country. He places the blame on other
factors, like the war on terror, the economy, and the Democrats, but those reasons belie
the reality and are just excuses to try and avoid accountability. Despite the growing
deficits he continues to call for more tax cuts and more spending increases. And to add
insult to injury he continues to claim that the budgets will be back in balance in 5
years. The budget plan that the Republicans just submitted is going to result in a
doubling of the federal debt from $7.8 trillion to over $16 trillion
during the next ten years, and that is assuming unrealistic and optimistic projections
regarding economic growth, spending curtailments, and revenue increases. Gore warned us
during the 2000 campaign that Bush's numbers didn't add up, and they still don't.
Lie #3: "I'm a uniter not a divider"
Cost: Unknown.
Truth: The Congress and the American people are every bit
as divided on legislation and issues as they were when Bush was appointed into office. His
go-it-alone actions in Iraq has driven a wedge between America and her allies. His lies,
arrogant attitude, and refusal to cooperate with investigations have proven to be very
divisive. His economic polices are widening the gap between the super rich and everyone
else. His trade policies are great for giant corporations, but they are forcing huge
numbers of American workers into lower paying jobs. His court nominees are so far to the
ideological right, and his constant push to insist that they are all approved, has been
very counter productive. Clearly, Bush is the great divider and not a uniter as he claimed
he would be when he ran for office.
Lie #4: "I will tear down the toll roads to the
middle class"
Cost: Unknown
Truth: I guess you could say that he has torn down the
toll roads for people leaving the middle class to the lower classes, but not for people
wanting to go in the other direction. In fact, he has erected toll roads, stumbling
blocks, and walls that are going to deny people opportunities to move up the economic
ladder. His tax cuts are designed to benefit the people who already have great wealthy,
despite his claims of who would benefit. He wants to expand NAFTA to a bunch of other poor
countries with his CAFTA agreement, thus putting even greater downward pressure on
American worker's wages. He has not addressed the skyrocketing cost of a college education
and he has under funded other education programs that he claimed that he would support. We
are all starting to see that Bush's toll roads are very costly, probably because they are
being build by Halliburton based on a non-bid contract. *wink*.
Those lies are just the tip of the iceberg of lies
coming from Bush's mouth. Following are a few other lies Bush has told:
He will protect
the money in the Social Security "Lockbox".
His Medicare
reform legislation will allow seniors greater access to cheaper drugs.
He will continue
to pay down the federal debt.
His tax cuts will
increase revenues to the federal government.
Repealing the
estate tax will benefit small business owners and farmers the most.
He will restore
honor and integrity to the White House.
Most of his $1.7
trillion dollar tax cut goes to the taxpayers in the middle class.
The current
recession was started by Clinton.
His policies will
not be led by poll numbers.
He supports a
Palestinian state.
His dividend tax
cut is affordable.
He will limit the
growth of government spending.
"I have been very candid about
my past."
"We must uncover every detail
and learn every lesson of September the 11th."
"I first got to know Ken [Lay
in 1994]."
Intelligence gathered by this
and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and
conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.
[Saddam Hussein is] a threat
because he is dealing with Al Qaeda.
We found the weapons of mass
destruction.

Good
thing for Bush more people don't read books!
Clearly, George W. Bush is a huge liar, but
he's also a thief, a cheat, a con-man, and a killer. All his qualities add up to one
thing, impeachment.
If Bush had one ounce of integrity he would
publicly admit he told some lies. If he had two ounces of integrity he would admit he lied
and apologize for the harm his lies have done. If he had three ounces of integrity he
would admit he lied, apologize, and then immediately resign from office.
However, Bush has no such integrity,
intelligence, or moral compass, and therefore it's up to the American people to recognize
him for what he is in reality. He is a evil little lying con-man that is helping a few
mega wealthy families rob our government and undermine our democracy. He should be removed
from office with an overwhelming vote of dismissal and a kick in his pants as he is
leaving, and we should make these few families give back what they have taken from us.
