(5/17/2005) Politics is a dirty, nasty, cruel business and we are lucky to have so many good people who are willing to subject themselves to this harsh business and constant media spot light. Their service is worth a thousand times more than they are being paid.

I'm not talking about people like George W. Bush or Dick Cheney because they are just puppets and whores for people with tons of money, I'm talking about people like Senator Wellstone, President Kennedy, and many other liberal Democrats who are people of honor, integrity, honesty, and loyalty.

The two liberal democrats I named were both killed while serving in office and many people believe that they were both killed by people operating inside the right-wing's "political machine". If these rumors are true than the right-wings bag of dirty tricks is in the hands of some very bad evil people and the light of public scrutiny must be aimed at their ugly faces so everyone can know who is responsible for these immoral deeds and criminal actions. Otherwise, they will continue their criminal ways until our government is bankrupt, our democracy has been transformed into a fascist Plutocracy, and the American people are dangling from meat-hooks.

Not a nice picture, but these right-wing thugs are not nice people.

Democracies are based on compromise, and therefore there are figurative lines that are drawn in the sand and when these lines are crossed our democracy is endangered. For example, the filibuster line that the Republicans are threatening to cross if they don't get their federal court nominees confirmed. I believe the right-wing's dirty tricks have already crossed the line too many times and this nuclear option on the filibuster is just the most obvious, recent, and public attempt to cross that line.

Think of this line as the string that suspends Domiciles Sword above the head of our democracy, or the head of Uncle Sam. Every time that line is crossed it wears thinner and thinner until eventually it breaks. When that line breaks we will lose our democracy. 

During Bill Clinton's second term Hillary Clinton said that she and her husband were the victims of a "vast right-wing conspiracy", and she was right. The right-wing's character assassination team never stopped trying to destroy Bill Clinton for the eight years he was in office. Was Monica Lewinski part of that team? I don't know, I'm just asking.

Most Americans believe that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by a right-wing conspiracy, and they are right. Not only was there more than one shooter, but there was a cover-up involving hundreds of people including many top government officials. When Oswald yelled out "I'm just a patsy" he was telling the truth.

Unfortunately the right-wing's political machine is alive and well in America, and their criminal conspiracies are undermining our democracy and robbing the American people of their rights, freedoms, and opportunities. If we do nothing, and just stand by mute as this corrupt behavior carries on in Washington D.C. we will only have ourselves to blame when our democracy falls and a cruel fascist Plutocracy arises in its place.

The 2000 Florida election scam, the $500 billion dollar RTC rip-off, the Watergate crimes, the Iran/Contra scandal, the war in Vietnam, the war in Iraq, the looting of the Social Security lockbox, and the half a trillion dollar annual budget deficits are all good examples of how the right-wing political machine operates and what they want.

The right-wing operates secretly, covertly, and above the law, and they are after more wealth and power in America and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

It appears that the leaders of the right-wing political machine are following the anti-democratic teachings of Machiavelli and Strauss. Both these man taught that government leaders must lead by deception, ruthlessness, and manipulation. They believed that a secular society is bad and that the masses of people need a single strong religion so they can be more easily manipulated. They believed in using the threat of an external enemy (Iraq) and symbols of patriotism (the flag) to control and trick the masses into following the direction of their governments leaders. They taught that government leaders must not be emotionally hampered by morals, fears, conscious, religion, or the suffering of others, but must secretly be people who are cold, ruthless, callous, and manipulative while publicly projecting the opposite persona.

I believe that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and all the Republicans in Congress are nothing more than puppets and whores for the real leaders of the right-wing political machine. And these leaders are busy undermining our government so they can get to the loot. These leaders are followers of the teachings of Strauss and Machiavelli and they are using Bush, the people in his administration, and the Republicans in Congress to enrich themselves and extend their power. For example, the media portrays Bush, and he portrays himself, as a religious man who is a moral leader, when the evidence of his actions greatly contradicts that perception. The threat of terrorism is being used as the external threat that is allowing our leaders to deny the masses their rights, restrict their freedoms, and destroy their social safety nets. And the American flag is being used as the patriotic symbol that motivates us to get in line behind our elected leaders without really questioning their actions or motivations. And the correlation between Strauss/Machiavelli teachings and Bush, the people in his administration, and the Republicans in Congress goes on and on.

Bush, the people in his administration, the Republicans in Congress, and the leaders of the right-wing's political machine are playing the American people for suckers, and they are succeeding.

The right-wing's scams that we have been witnessing during the past fifty years all have the same method of operation, or MO. There is a "patsy" to take the blame. There is "plausible deniability" for the real scammers. There are the already wealthy "beneficiaries" who horde the looted wealth. There are the "victims", the middle class and their government, who end up paying the price.

Our government is being robbed and transformed right before our eyes and over half of the American people are blissfully unaware that it is happening. They are unaware because the media is owned by the leaders of the right-wing's political machine, and is being used to control and manipulate the masses.

It is time to awaken the American people to the horror that will be their future if the right-wing's anti-democracy conspiracy is allowed to succeed. And since the right-wing already controls the media we must use other means to educate the American people about this clear and present danger.

We must also learn how to fight fire with fire. We must be just as willing to take actions against the leaders of the right-wing's political machine as they are willing to take against us. Robert F. Kennedy, former Attorney General, once said "If we do not attack organized crime with weapons and techniques as effective as their own, they will destroy us.", and he was right. We must stand up and fight, or we must learn to live on our knees.
