Michael Moore's new documentary movie, "SiCKO", was a real eye opener. It
exposed the fact that our healthcare system is lagging way behind other industrialized
countries in terms of cost, accessibility, and quality of care, and that these flaws are a
direct result of a money corrupted political system. The big drug and insurance companies
are giving our politicians piles of cash and in return they get to write the legislation
that affects their bottom lines. And it's not just the healthcare industry that is taking
advantage of our corrupt political system but every greedy special interest imaginable is
knocking on our government's door asking for legislation in exchange for campaign
contributions and high paying jobs. As a result, our government is staffed by a bunch of
money whoring ass kissers, no one is being held accountable for corruption, and our
federal government's vast assets and cash flows are being stolen by wealthy men who's
greed is only exceeded by a fear of a healthy democracy and an informed population.
We love our government because our government works for us,
at least in legal theory based on constitutional law. The problems is not with our large
federal government but it is with the people who we have elected to run it. We are usually
given two choices and we try to vote for the lesser of two evils, but this system has only
placated the American people into accepting a corrupt system controlled by two parties
that gets worse and worse every election cycle. The current administration's leadership is
far worse than Nixons and the Nixon administration had a reputation that was lower than
snake piss, and our current members of Congress are equally as bad.
The war in Iraq, skyrocketing budget and trade deficits, bad
Medicare legislation, tax give-a-ways to the very rich, torture, lying, illegal spying on
American citizens, intelligence failures before 9/11, disaster mismanagement after
Katrina, cronyism, job outsourcing, war profiteering, environmental roll-backs, outing a
CIA agent, lack of accountability, big government contracts going to foreign based
corporations, spending the social security trust fund surpluses, selling government lands
to private interest, forcing life-time appointments to the federal bench down Congress's
throat, weak border security, stealing elections with paperless voting computers, big
no-bid contracts, off-shore tax shelters, and other subversions and perversions of the law
are all the legacies of the current Bush administration and Congress. It has truly been an
eight year blood stained Orwellian nightmare of biblical proportions.
I wish I could tell you that things will get better following
the upcoming elections in 2008, but I have been watching the debates and all the
candidates from both parties are lousy. Once again we are going to be ask to vote for the
lesser of two evils. There are some rumors that Michael Bloomberg might enter the race as
an independent candidate but if Ross Perot's experiences are any indication Bloomberg
doesn't stand an icebergs chance in hell. The two political parties and their new
paperless voting computers have turned the whole presidential election game into a circus
sideshow and the voters are the foolish sad clowns.
The good news is that we still have the power to force
corrective changes. We still have a few tools that we can use to force both parties back
towards the center and away from the extreme right. I have come up with a number of
different ways the American people can effectively fight back without having to stick
their necks out. First, if the American people start boycotting the businesses and
products that are owned or controlled by the people who fund the criminal political
puppets in both parties our elected representatives will be forced to retreat from their
extremist ideology, otherwise, their backers will be isolated and their businesses
bankrupted. Following is a link to my list of boycott targets (see Boycott List). Please feel free to copy
and distribute this boycott list.
Second, we can fight back with the help of the U.S. military.
Every American should read, print, sign (anonymously is ok), and then mail a letter to our
top military leaders asking them to help us save America's democracy from the money
corrupted right-wing extremist in both parties and the greedy Robber Barons who fund their
campaigns (see Sample Letter).
Finally, we can fight back by educating ourselves and others
about what is really happening in our government, and what we can do to repair our
government. Everyone should start getting ready to fight the organized criminals who are
currently robbing our government, undermining our democracy, manipulating the American
people, and wasting our soldier's lives in Iraq by reading my website articles and my free
online book "FIGHT" (see "Fight
Guide").
