The Republicans in The U.S. Congress Are Full of Shit

Boyscry.JPG (27057 bytes)(3/1/2007) The Republicans in the U.S. Congress are great at delivering grand speeches that are powerful enough to draw a moth to a flame. In fact, if I were new to politics and I heard these Republican's patriotic oratories I would fall in line behind them without a second thought. However, I'm not new to politics and I have heard all this before and I can assure you, without question or hesitation, they are all full of shit.

All these Republicans are a bunch of lying hypocrites and they are counting on the American people's short attention spans and busy life styles to sell their snake oil to any sucker with some empty space between their ears. The reality is these Republicans are the obedient puppets for a small number of organized crime families, and all of these people are sick with greed and they are guilty of attempted treason and numerous other serious crimes. Former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy had this to say about fighting organized criminals: "If we do not attack organized crime with weapons and techniques as effective as their own, they will destroy us.".

The Democrats in Congress, on the other hand, also give great speeches but their grand plans never see the light of day. The Democrat's glowing truths must not as attractive a the Republican's shiny lies, at least to the people who are handing out all the money. Lately they have been giving tearful anti-war speeches where they cry and scream about all the deaths, injuries, and costs of the war in Iraq, but where the hell was their foresight four years ago when they voted to give Bush the authority to take our country to war in Iraq? Where were they when Bush was firing their federal judges and stacking the federal bench with a bunch of shyster neo-con fascist? Where were they when the Republicans stole the elections in 2000 and 2004? Where were you Democrats? And more importantly what are you doing for us right now?

In my opinion these Democrats lack spine and many of them are just as corrupt, if not more corrupt, than the Republicans. They don't have the balls to stand up to the Republican political machine probably because they don't want to line up next to a dead man, like JFK or Wellstone. Therefore, I guess you could reason that the Democrats lack of spine is somewhat understandable. It's not easy being a free-thinker when someone is holding a gun to your head.

Bush's appointed Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Shalom Bernanke, was testifying before the House Budget Committee yesterday and he unwitting exposed the fact that common sense solutions to our country's looming fiscal problems are impossible because of a corrupt and divided government. Therefore, he implied, bad right-wing solutions should be considered first. For example, instead of fixing the looming crisis in Social Security by removing the limit on income subject to Social Security taxes he points his finger at grandma's big Social Security check as the problem. Instead of fixing the national deficits and debt by letting Bush's tax cuts for the top 1% expire and reinstating "PAYGO" rules he points his finger at spending for Social Security and Medicare. Instead of fixing the skyrocketing trade deficit and job outsourcing with tough trade negotiations he points his finger at the American people saying they we are too dumb and that we need to go back to school and get a much higher level of education.

In a way Bernanke is right, we are too dumb. We have let both political parties play us like we are all a bunch of ignorant punk ass bitches. We have been placated and complacent while our two political parties fight over which factions of the top 1% gets what's left of our government's assets. And as time goes on we have less and less power to do anything about it. When the Republican's feet get held to the fire the DOW drops 400 points, as it did on Tuesday. When the Democrat's feet get held to the fire they curl up in a corner and suck on their thumbs like they did with Bush's horrible court re-nominees were being forced down their throats. When the American people's feet get held to the fire they change the television channel or borrow against their home's equity. However, it's going to be difficult for the American people to change the channel when their living in cardboard boxes.

Therefore, there are only two real solutions to our country's problems, otherwise, almost all of us will face one unpleasant cardboard box reality. The first solution involves massive and unrelenting public protests, boycotts, lawsuits, and lobbying until the crooks are gone and accountability has been restored. The second solution involves letting our military leaders take control of our government until a new citizen government can be formed. Both of these solutions require massive public recognition that the two political parties are at the root of our country's problems and fixing these problems is not possible until they are both gone from positions of power.

The first solution would require massive public education efforts followed by fearless and tireless actions by a large majority of the American people, but I just don't see this happening any time soon. Therefore, a better solution would be if our military leaders, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, make the decisions and perform the actions necessary to take complete control of our government. Technically such decisions and actions would be considered treason but then so were the decisions and actions of our founding fathers against the British monarchs in 1776. Also, these military leader's decisions and actions might result in the violent deaths of some insurgent right-wing activist, but their failure to act will most certainly result in the unnecessary deaths of more of our soldiers in the Middle East and the ruinous down fall of our democratic republic and the rise of a cruel God-less fascist monarchy (plutocracy) where the government comes at us and not from us.

Personally, I believe a military coup d'etat is our only hope and I want all like minded Americans to help me lobby our military leaders to take control of our government before our government is bankrupt and our democracy is lost. If our military leaders have the balls and wisdom to accept our offer America will have a much better chance of maintaining its top spot in the world economically, militarily, socially, and hopefully soon educationally and environmentally.

I hope our military leaders do take control of our government because the solutions to our country's problems are really very obvious and simple to fix. Almost all of our country's looming fiscal problems could be fixed through some minor changes to the federal tax code. These changes would undo the regressive changes Reagan and Bush placed in the tax code and they would provide some new incentives to cut CO2 emissions. I have detailed plans on what needs to be done to fix the federal tax code and I offer my services to the new military leadership free of charge.

Currently, the top 1% owns over 90% of all the wealth in America and a one time tax on this wealth could enrich the federal government while still leaving enough money in the hands of the top 1%, say 25%, to keep the economy growing. This type of legislation is impossible in the current political environment, as are most common sense solutions, but with some fair minded military leaders at the helm of our government great solutions could be enacted immediately resulting in undreamed of efficiencies and a restoration of democratic egalitarian ideals. The sixteenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution allows for this type of tax on wealth and our forefathers encouraged us to tax wealth progressively with an estate tax and progressive tax rates on income.

Former Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis said: "We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both.", and he was right. We are currently witnessing the lose of our democracy through political corruption and this corruption is bankrupting our government, squeezing out the middle class, killing our soldiers, and concentrating our nation's wealth into the hands of a small number of inheritance rich morons and a bunch of sycophantic fascist organized criminals.

Our two political parties have failed the American people and they have abandoned our forefather's vision and sacrifice. Now it is time to correct this imbalance with whatever is necessary, including military action and fearless citizen militias. The famous economist John Kenneth Galbraith said: "Economic justice can be measured by the screams of anguish from the very rich." and when we start hearing those screams we will know we are close to victory.
