President George W. Bush's First Four Years Analyzed
by Chris M. Fick (1/20/2005)

1. Stock Market Reacts To Bush

xnasdaqchart.jpg (29854 bytes)

Just after Bush began leading Gore in the polls the stock market began a downward spiral that continues today. This reflects the poor leadership and backwards economic policies of the Bush administration that the markets anticipated. This crash wiped out trillions of dollars in investment values and countless life savings.

2. GOP's Elections Fraud In Florida

bushvotemob.jpg (47803 bytes)

A group of Republican insiders used fear and intimidation to stop the vote recount effort in Florida. The Supreme Court then announced Bush the winner in a split 4 to 5 vote with dissenting judges claiming partisan shame is now upon the court.

3. California Gets Price Gouged By Bush's Friends

xcalderegulation.jpg (18310 bytes)

In one year, from 12/1999 to 12/2000 demand for electricity in California dropped 16%, but the price increased 1483%. Just after Bush took office he removed Clinton's ban on energy price speculation in California and his friends in the energy industry attacked like a pack of hungry wolves: Enron, Reliant, Dynegy, Duke, Mirant, Calpine, Sempra, and others. They shut down power plants, created rolling blackouts, jammed transmission lines, and manipulated the supply and price of energy so they could make billions of dollars and price gouge the people of California, and Bush let them get away with it. The total long-term cost has been estimated to be over $71 billion dollars. This deregulation scam is reminiscent of the Bush's S&L deregulation scam of the 80's that cost over $500 billion.

4. Enron Implodes, And Bush Says "Ken who?"

xenron.jpg (43205 bytes)

Enron, Bush's number one campaign contributor, was a loathsome corporate criminal that used every trick in the book to inflate earnings, hide profits, avoid paying taxes, and cheat it's employees and shareholders out of their life's savings. Bush responded to this flagrant corruption and immorality by trying to pass a retroactive corporate tax cut that would have required the U.S. government to send Enron a check for over $150 million dollars, but the Democrats said "no no". Then Enron died an ugly death and it took the accounting firm Auther Anderson down with it, and Bush's job approval numbers were dropping like a rock until suddenly 9/11 happened and Bush's trifecta started to kick into gear.

5. Terrorist Attack On 9/11, And Bush Rebounds In Polls

xbush911.jpg (20963 bytes)

On the morning of 9/11/2001 Bush was told that a second passenger jet had just flown into the WTC's other tower, but Bush just sat quietly reading "My Pet Goat" to school children for another 8 minutes. Then Bin Laden family members were jetted out of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia was given a free "Get Out Of Jail" card by the Bush administration. Then plans for the Unocal pipeline project and Iraqi oil fields project were put back onto the drawing board. Since that time the price of oil has been rising to historic levels and so did Bush's job approval ratings, for a while.

6. War Is Started In Iraq

iraqchild.jpg (5721 bytes)

Bush took America to war in Iraq ill-equipped, lacking international support, too few troops, no exit strategy, and based on several lies, but with corporate profits and big government contracts in mind. We now have over 1,000 American boys dead and 20,000 injured, and no one knows how many Iraqis have been killed or injured, but you can be sure the number is very high.

7. Bush Declares "Mission Accomplished"

bushmission.jpg (10165 bytes)

Since Bush declared "mission accomplished" over 900 American soldiers have died and over $100 billion more dollars have been spent. Lying about the war in Iraq has become a bad habit for the Bush administration and the price has been very high for the American people.

8. Iraq War Cost 1,000+ American Soldiers & $200 Billion Dollars

Uscoffinsmall.jpg (19983 bytes)

Bush placed a block on the media that prevents them from photographing the coffins of dead GI's being returned home, and he has never attended any of their funerals, but the truth is becoming more and more difficult for Bush to keep hidden from the American people. The American people have also lost over $200 billion dollars that could have been used for a number of needs at home.

9. Bush Signs Patriot Act

Bushhitler.JPG (5145 bytes)

The "Patriot Act" allows suspects to be held without legal representation and without legal (constitutional) rights. It allows sneak and peek searches. It allows American citizens to have what they read tracked. Bush wants to expand the Patriot Act to allow even more intrusions into our personal lives and additional infringements on our civil liberties.

10. Bush Signs Second Big Tax Cut

bushdebt.jpg (10569 bytes)

Bush told the American people that any deficits his administration created would be small and short-term, and look what he has done. Never before have the American people been given tax cuts when we are at war, and Bush has given us four. Bush's tax cuts have benefited the richest people in our society the most and have created the largest fiscal deficits in our country's history. Bush is bankrupting this country and the middle class will be the biggest losers when it happens.

11. Bush Signs Medicare Drug Bill

medicarebill.jpg (17989 bytes)

These elected leaders appear to be very happy, which is interesting since they just stabbed Medicare in the back and handed their friends in the drug and insurance industries $100 billion of your tax dollars. Estimated cost of this legislation is now $200 billion more than we were told it would cost, and it is bankrupting the Medicare system.

12. Bush Encourages Global Warming

bushenvironment.jpg (7628 bytes)

At first Bush rejected the scientist opinions about "global warming", but now he admits it is happening. However, his policies have continued to be very anti-environment with roll backs in regulation, water and air quality, mining, drilling, and oil and gas conservation.

13. Bush Encourages Outsourcing

outsourcing.jpg (9004 bytes)

Bush has encouraged U.S. based companies to outsource their workers to other countries, and not just low skilled workers, but all skill levels. Bush's tax policies actually rewards companies that outsource their workers, and some of his other tax policies encourage companies to re-incorporate off-shore to avoid paying U.S. taxes.

14. Bush Cuts Overtime Pay

Minimumwagechart.JPG (24956 bytes)

The Bush administration passed new regulations that will cut millions of people out of their right to get overtime pay for working over 40 hour per week. Bush refused to raise the poverty level minimum wage despite new skyrocketing inflation numbers. And Bush will not extend unemployment compensation despite over $20 billion dollars in the unemployment compensation account. Bush lavishes the rich with tax cuts but he won't give the middle class the time of day.

15. Bush Lies About Everything

Gwbush.jpg (4444 bytes)

Bush lied about Iraq, and who benefited from his tax cuts, and his environmental legislation, and his campaign promise of not supporting country building, and his support for programs for children, and his support for our soldiers, and his budget deficits, and the Medicare drug bill, and his judicial nominations, and on and on and on. Bush is a damn liar and his calculated deceptions are immoral and damaging to our democracy.

16. Bush Sells Tax Cut, Deregulation, & Tort Reforms

Taxchart.jpg (11675 bytes)

President Bush, just like Nixon, Reagan, and Bush Sr., gave the richest people in our society huge tax breaks and then run huge budget deficits. They cut the top tax rates and reduced the number of tax brackets while raising taxes on Social Security and Medicare. In other words, they shifted the tax burden from the very rich to the middle class. Corporate deregulation and tort reforms are also two anti-middle class proposals that Bush has been pushing.

17. Bush Nominates Extremist Judges

Bush has been nominating extremist right wing judges to life-time positions on the federal bench. The Democrats in the Senate have been blocking most of these bad nominees, but the Republicans have been crying bloody murder.

18. Bush's Claims Ignorance About Abuses At Abughaib

xabughraib.jpg (14900 bytes)

Suspected Iraqi citizens have been treated in ways that are in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions. U.S. soldiers and U.S. military contractors have committed murder, rape, torture, and aggravated assaults against hundreds of innocent Iraqi citizens at Abughaib prison. And Bush, and the rest of his corrupt administration officials, have claimed ignorance about the whole matter.

19. Bush's People Attack Kerry's Vietnam Record

xkerrywar.jpg (11721 bytes)

Senator John Kerry volunteered for military service and won three purple hearts and a silver star for his brave and patriotic actions during the war in Vietnam. When he got home he joined a chorus of anti-war soldiers who viewed the war in Vietnam as an unwinnable war that was being carried out incompetently and immorally, and it turns out that they were right. George W. Bush used his father's connections to avoid the war and then he went AWOL from his guard service. The GOP has recently attacked the patriotism of people like Max Cleland, a triple amputee, comparing him to Saddam Hussein. The GOP has no shame.

20. Debates Expose Bush & Cheney As Frauds & Liars

debatepic.jpg (12490 bytes)

According to the polls, and in my opinion, both Kerry and Edwards won their debates against Bush and Cheney by big margins. The truth is that Bush and Cheney don't have a good record to run on so they attack their opponents using lies and smears and the American people can see through the smoke and mirrors to the truth and the polls reflect that ability.

21. Summary Of Bush's Four Year As Resident

protest02.jpg (149893 bytes)

The Bush administration has demonstrated the worst leadership this country has ever had, even worse than Nixon's administration and Nixon was scumbag lower than snake piss. Bush is a liar, a thief, a puppet, a war criminal, and a immoral man. His policies have set this country back twenty years. From his budget deficits, environmental roll-backs, unfair tax cuts, war in Iraq, deregulation's, high unemployment, inflationary policies, falling dollar, rising interest rates, lower standard of living, skyrocketing healthcare cost, outsourcing of jobs, cronyism, corporate scandals, Florida elections scam, corporate welfare, Medicare drug scam, looting the Social Security lock box, cuts in soldiers benefits, cuts in child care, cuts in overtime pay, low minimum wage, refusal to extend unemployment benefits, his support for Israel's inhuman policies, and his constant and repetitive lies about all these actions paint a picture very different from the picture of Bush the GOP want you to see. The 9/11 attack was not enough to keep the people behind Bush for long. People are starting to see the light, and in that light they can see that Bush represents the dark side of humanity.  George W. Bush be damned for all the lives he has destroyed, harm he has caused, and pain he has inflicted.
