Shortly after the terrorist attack on 9/11 George W. Bush said, "Any deficits my
administration creates will be small and short-term.", and most of us believed
him. However, instead what he has done is deliberately created the biggest deficits in
America's history. Deficits that are currently being projected to continue for as long as
can be reasonably forecasted.
So how has Bush responded to these
non-conservative fiscal results? He continues to call for more tax cuts and more spending
increases.
Bush has an MBA from Harvard, but he acts
like someone who has serious problems with simple grammar school math.
The Bush administration has taken the
federal budget from a projected surplus of $5 trillion dollars over ten years to a
projected deficit of $5 trillion dollars over ten years. That is a $10
trillion dollar swing in the wrong direction.
I recently heard him say "I have
laid out a budget that will cut the deficit in half over the next four years.",
which is the same thing I heard him say last year. So what year are we suppose to start
believing him?
Bush is a damn liar.
All this new debt, along with a continued
push for more tax cuts and more spending increases, goes way beyond irresponsibility and
recklessness. I think it points to a deliberate effort by the GOP to bankrupt our
government. And its not just Bush and this GOP controlled Congress, but presidents Reagan
and Bush Sr. also cut taxes for the rich and run huge historic budget deficits that added
over $4 trillion dollars to the debt, and they also spent every penny of the Social
Security surpluses. When these two lying fascist left office the budget deficits were
growing out of control. Why would they deliberately harm the financial future of our
country like they clearly did?
Some Republicans say they want to "starve
the beast", where the beast is the federal government and it's source of food is
cash. Which means they want to put our government in such a horrible financial position,
by running huge deficits, that our government will be forced to cut all non essential
services. They don't believe the government should be in the social services business,
like Social Security or Medicare, so they are going to financially break the government to
force these programs out of existence.
Personally, I believe the GOP's motives are
much more sinister than just killing a couple of social programs. I believe they want to
bankrupt the U.S. federal government so that our government will be forced to sell off
it's real estate holdings (30% of all land in America), national treasures, intangible
assets, and other assets for pennies on the dollar in a depression-bankruptcy liquidation
sale. This will then allow America's wealthiest billionaires to buy up these assets, our
assets, at bargain basement prices.
I consider this plan, and Bush's and the
Republicans in Congress efforts to bring it to fruition, immoral and treasonous. It is a
selfish, greedy, pananoid motivated criminal action that is being carried out with lies,
propaganda, manipulation, stealing, and killing. We got a bunch of damn Nazis running our
government.
Many Americans have been tricked into
believing that the real problem is "big government", but the real problem is
"bad leadership". And right now we have some really bad leadership running, and
ruining, our government.
A big federal government can provide, and
has provided, the American people with many valuable services and protections. For
example, our big governments pays for schools, roads, police, courts, firemen, libraries,
parks, museums, coast guard, border patrols, jails, military, clean water, safe food, etc.
These are all things that make life good in America. Do we support giving these things up
so that billionaires can have a lot more money? I don't think so, but Bush is forcing this
choice upon us while acting like we gave him a mandate to do it, and while constantly
claiming that he is not doing it.
In America the American people own and
control the government, it belongs to us! All the government
officials work for us. All the government's assets belong to us. The U.S. government exist
to protect us and provide us with services. We love our government because our government
is us. When Bush and the GOP try and hurt, reduce, or limit our government they are trying
to hurt, reduce, and limit us. When they try to starve the beast they are really trying to
starve us. If they succeed in bankrupting our government they will be robbing us, and we
can't allow that to happen. And if it does happen we need to hold them
accountable for what they have done to us.
