George W. Bush, the people working
in his administration, and the Republicans in Congress act like they are above the law,
and it appears they are above accountability from voters. They are in important government
positions of great power illegally. They are in these positions as a result of the last
two stolen elections, and nothing has changed to give us confidence that future elections
won't also be stolen by the same people using the same criminal methods. But the point of
this article is not to re-exam the stolen elections in 2000 and 2004 because I have
already written articles about these election frauds. This article will look at the
failure of the Bush administration and the Republicans in Congress to police themselves.
When the current crop of Republicans in Congress and working in
the Bush administration lose elections, make major mistakes, fail to get Senate approval,
are exposed as incompetent, are accused of criminal acts, or are forced out of their
government jobs for any other reasons they almost never feel the wrath that true
democratic political accountability demands. Instead, they are given other government
jobs, or they are hired as contractors, lobbyist, or as media personalities. And their new
jobs almost always pay them more than their old jobs.
This type of job security is not reflective of the real world
that all other Americans face, but it is similar to the type of job security you might
find in a Mafia crime family, or the nepotism in a family run business. Places where
incompetence, ignorance, immorality, and mental disorders are overlooked or ignored.
Historically, both political parties have avoided the
appearance of this type of lack of accountability, probably because of potential of voter
repercussions, but something has changed and the current administration has no such fear.
Following is a list of people in and around the Bush
administration who have been able to avoid accountability along with their current and
previous job titles and a description of what happened leading up to their current jobs:
Michael Brown
(Disaster Consultant, was Director of FEMA) - He was the head of FEMA during the hurricane
Katrina disaster and his failures before, during, and after this disaster exposed him a
incompetent to head such a important government agency. To save face the Bush
administration got Brown to resign from FEMA but then they rehired him as a consultant for
$148,000 a year. Prior to heading FEMA Brown has absolutely no previous experience that
would have qualified him for this job, but he was a close friend of Joe Allbaugh, Bush's
old pea-brained bully friend out of Oklahoma.
